Provide technical support to the AFS Database Administrator (DBA), AFS Manager and Contracting Officer ‘s Representative (COR) for all technical issues and system bugs that arise for the AFS database system, including: issues related to the database, clustering, patching , upgrades , system security, operating systems, and the deployment of the application on the NPS intranet.
Provide technical support to the AFS Manager and COR in order to keep the AFS applications located at the GNMP location operating in the rare occasion when AFS DBA is unavailable for more than 48 hours and the offsite system must be used in a COOP situation.
All upgrades and modifications must fit within the IT design structure dictated by the NPS Information Resources (IR) Office.
